AGM (absorbent glass mat) golf cart batteries are sealed deep-cycle lead-acid batteries, so there are no cells to water. They cost more than flooded batteries and less than lithium. Make sure your charger supports AGM batteries before you switch.

Choosing AGM Golf Cart Batteries

  • Match your cart's voltage: six 6V batteries = 36V; eight 6V, six 8V or four 12V batteries = 48V.
  • Match the group size (GC2, GC8 or GC12) and terminal type of your current batteries, and replace the whole set at once.
  • Flooded batteries need topping off with distilled water after charging. Sealed AGM batteries don't need watering. Check that your charger supports the type you choose.
