8-volt deep-cycle golf cart batteries in the GC8 group size. Six 8V batteries make a 48V pack, a common setup in 48V golf carts. Count your batteries and check the voltage on the labels to confirm you have an 8V system, and match the terminal type to your cables.

8V golf cart batteries

Six 8-volt GC8 batteries make a 48V pack, common on many 48V Club Car and EZGO carts. Replace all six together and match the terminal type.

Choosing 8V Golf Cart Batteries

  • Match your cart's voltage: six 6V batteries = 36V; eight 6V, six 8V or four 12V batteries = 48V.
  • Match the group size (GC2, GC8 or GC12) and terminal type of your current batteries, and replace the whole set at once.
  • Flooded batteries need topping off with distilled water after charging. Sealed AGM batteries don't need watering. Check that your charger supports the type you choose.
