Description
The Trojan Ranger 160 is an 8-volt battery built specifically for golf and utility vehicles: 204 Ah at the 20-hour rate and 430 minutes at 25 A. Trojan rates it for up to 35% more travel time between charges. It uses the taller GC8H case (11.90 in high) with an embedded high-profile stud terminal, so check your compartment height before ordering.
Terminal. This battery comes with the EHPT (embedded high profile terminal): a taller threaded stud (5/16 in bolt). Check that it matches your cables, or send us a photo of your current battery and we’ll confirm.

Fitment
For golf carts that run 8V lead-acid batteries: six 8V batteries make a 48V cart. Order one battery for each position and replace the whole set at once. Check that the group size (GC8H) and terminal type match your current batteries and cables, or send us a photo of a battery label and we’ll confirm.
Care
Trojan’s advice for flooded batteries: charge after every use and don’t leave the pack sitting discharged. Check the electrolyte level regularly and add distilled water only after charging, never before (unless the plates are exposed). Keep the tops clean and dry, the terminals free of corrosion and the connections tight at the torque on the data sheet. For storage, charge fully first and recharge every few weeks; Trojan rates self-discharge at 5-15% a month, faster in hot weather.
Warranty
18-month free-replacement warranty from Trojan against defects in materials and workmanship, for the original purchaser, from the date on your receipt. Trojan’s warranty excludes damage from low electrolyte, over- or under-charging, freezing and similar neglect, so keep up with watering and charging. See trojanbattery.com for full warranty terms.

Core charge
Each flooded or AGM lead-acid battery adds an $18 core charge at checkout. Lithium batteries, chargers, and parts do not. The core charge is refunded when we receive your old lead-acid battery. It’s waived with local delivery when the old battery is removed and ready for pickup.
