Description
The Trojan J305P-AC is a heavy-duty 6-volt battery with 330 Ah at the 20-hour rate and 711 minutes at 25 A. Trojan lists it for golf and utility vehicles, but it uses the tall BCI 902 case (14.42 in high, 96 lb), so it fits only vehicles with a compartment built for it. Most golf carts take GC2-height batteries; measure before you order, or send us your vehicle details.
Terminal. This battery comes with the DT (automotive post and stud terminal): an automotive post with a stud. Check that it matches your cables, or send us a photo of your current battery and we’ll confirm.

Fitment
For golf carts that run 6V lead-acid batteries: six 6V batteries make a 36V cart, and eight make a 48V cart. Order one battery for each position and replace the whole set at once. Check that the group size (BCI 902) and terminal type match your current batteries and cables, or send us a photo of a battery label and we’ll confirm.
Care
Trojan’s advice for flooded batteries: charge after every use and don’t leave the pack sitting discharged. Check the electrolyte level regularly and add distilled water only after charging, never before (unless the plates are exposed). Keep the tops clean and dry, the terminals free of corrosion and the connections tight at the torque on the data sheet. For storage, charge fully first and recharge every few weeks; Trojan rates self-discharge at 5-15% a month, faster in hot weather.
Warranty
12-month free-replacement warranty from Trojan against defects in materials and workmanship, for the original purchaser, from the date on your receipt. Trojan’s warranty excludes damage from low electrolyte, over- or under-charging, freezing and similar neglect, so keep up with watering and charging. See trojanbattery.com for full warranty terms.
Shipping and delivery
Lead-acid batteries ship by truck freight. Choose “Freight quote” at checkout and we’ll call you with the freight cost before we charge any shipping, or choose local delivery if you’re in our delivery area. See our Shipping page for the local delivery area and fee.
Core charge
Each flooded or AGM lead-acid battery adds an $18 core charge at checkout. Lithium batteries, chargers, and parts do not. The core charge is refunded when we receive your old lead-acid battery. It’s waived with local delivery when the old battery is removed and ready for pickup.
