The battery tray tells you the cart voltage. You do not need the serial number for this part.
Count, then multiply
- Six 6V batteries is a 36V cart.
- Eight 6V batteries is a 48V cart.
- Six 8V batteries is a 48V cart.
- Four 12V batteries is a 48V cart.
The label on each battery shows 6V, 8V, or 12V. Six batteries do not automatically mean 36 volts. Six 8V batteries are 48 volts, and that tray will not take eight GC2 batteries.
Why the match matters
A 36V lithium kit in a 48V cart will not run the controller. A 48V lead-acid set in a 36V cart is the wrong charger, the wrong solenoid, and the wrong speed control. Keep the system voltage unless you are changing the controller and the charger together.
Shop by what is in the tray: 6V, 8V, 12V, or a lithium kit at 36V, 48V, or 72V. The fitment guide lists kits by make and model after the voltage is settled.
