This is the buying note for a EZGO RXV ELiTE (factory-lithium RXV ELiTE cars, roughly a Gen 1 tray around 2017-2021 and a Gen 2 tray from about 2022 on). Ask the owner whether the car was lithium from the dealer. If the answer is yes and the badge is ELiTE, year and tray generation come before brand. The fitment guide is the current match. An article can explain the cart. It cannot outrank a kit title that names a different tray.
Voltage comes before brand
These cars did not come with a set of flooded batteries. They came with a factory Samsung lithium pack. Voltage is the car’s system voltage. Do not convert it as if it were a lead-acid RXV.
Series math is the whole voltage. Six 6-volt batteries are 36 volts. Six 8-volt batteries are 48 volts. Eight 6-volt batteries are 48 volts. Four 12-volt deep-cycle batteries are 48 volts. A 72-volt cart is a different system. Do not put a 48-volt kit in it and do not put a 72-volt kit in a 48-volt cart. Write the count down. Take a photo of one label that shows the volts. That photo is worth more than the badge on the nose of a EZGO RXV ELiTE.
A EZGO RXV ELiTE still on lead-acid is usually four 12-volt deep-cycle batteries in series, which is a 48V cart. After a full charge and a few hours of rest, one healthy 12-volt battery sits near 12.6 volts. The whole string sits near 50 volts. A battery that sits a full volt under the others is the weak one. Replace the set. One new battery in a tired string does the work for the old ones and dies early. Each flooded or AGM battery in that set adds an $18 core charge at checkout. A set of four adds $18 times four. The core is refunded when we receive the old lead-acid batteries. Lithium batteries, chargers, and parts do not get a core charge. The core applies on a shipped order. It is waived on a local delivery.
The tray and the bracket
ECO’s notes on this car are the ones to follow. Gen 1 fits a Skinny case, best on about 2017-2021 trays. Gen 2 fits a Thru-Hole case, best on about 2022 and later trays. A standard RXV metal or plastic lead-conversion kit is the wrong shape and the wrong conversation. This is a factory-lithium replacement.
Brackets are the part that makes a kit a kit. The battery case can look similar across carts while the hold-down does not. On a EZGO RXV ELiTE, Selling the owner a TXT or standard RXV conversion kit with a charger and brackets meant for a lead tray. If the holes do not line up, stop. Do not slot the tray with a drill to make the wrong kit fit. Send a photo of the tray.
What the wrong hardware does on a EZGO RXV ELiTE
A wrong bracket leaves the battery loose. A loose battery cracks posts, eats cables, and moves when you hit a speed bump or a cart-path bridge. On a EZGO RXV ELiTE the failure starts as a rattle and ends as a cart that cuts out over bumps, because the lug is no longer flat on the post.
The second hardware miss is the charger. A lead-acid charger on a lithium pack is not a backup. Take it out. The third is the 12-volt system. Owners finish the swap, the cart rolls, and the lights die. That is the missing converter, not a bad lithium battery. Match Gen 1 or Gen 2 before you match amp-hours. A Skinny pack in a Thru-Hole tray, or the reverse, is the fitment failure on this car.
Cables are hardware too. If the strands under the insulation are green, or the lug is eaten, a new battery will not fix the EZGO RXV ELiTE. Match terminal style on a lead set: S, UT, or UTL. A lug that has to be bent to reach the post will loosen.
A worked check on this cart
Ask the owner whether the car was lithium from the dealer. If the answer is yes and the badge is ELiTE, year and tray generation come before brand. Charge the car, unplug it, and let it rest. Then measure. If it is still a lead string, measure each battery and the pack. A 12-volt that rests a full volt low is the one to condemn, and you still replace the set. If it is already lithium, use the kit meter. Do not declare the pack dead because a lead-acid chart does not match it.
What to send so we do not guess
- Make and model: EZGO RXV ELiTE.
- Year, and which side of any year split the car is on.
- A photo of one battery label and a photo of the tray.
- The voltage you counted, not the voltage you hope it is.
- Whether the car was factory lithium (this matters most on an RXV ELiTE, and it is a fair question on any late model).
Installed, watered, or charged batteries are a final sale except for damage, the wrong item, or a warranty claim. If you are unsure of the EZGO RXV ELiTE tray, ask before you install. Change-of-mind returns are 30 days with no restocking fee, and you pay that freight. If we shipped the wrong part, or it arrives damaged, tell us within 2 days and the return freight is ours. Refunds go to the original payment method within 10 business days of inspection.
A EZGO RXV ELiTE order is ready when the year, the counted voltage, and a tray photo agree with one kit title. Until those three agree, leave the kit in the catalog. A standard RXV metal or plastic lead-conversion kit is the wrong shape and the wrong conversation. This is a factory-lithium replacement. Send the set through the contact page if the fitment guide’s year bands do not describe the car in front of you.

The price for EZGO RXV ELiTE is the price on the product page, not a number in this article. Lithium golf cart kits from every brand we sell ship free to the lower 48 by curbside truck freight. Parts, chargers and small batteries ship free on orders of $150 or more, or $14.95 below that. Interstate lead-acid batteries ship on a freight quote: we call you with the price before we charge shipping. We ship EZGO RXV ELiTE. We do not list a storefront address. Local delivery is only the area named on the shipping page. A city page on this site is not a statement that a driver covers that city.
